Beginners Crochet Class starts Thursday at 7pm at Waldheim Library

Thursday, Feb. 23rd, Sarah Peters is teaching basic crochet stitches. A second class will be on Tuesday, Feb. 28th, also at 7:00.  Bring a #5 hook and medium yarn.  For ages 12 – adult.  Register ahead at 945-2221 and leave your name and phone number.  We need to know how many are coming.

New Displays:

Chick Lit for Adults and Young Adults.  This genre addresses issues of modern womanhood, often in lighthearted and humerous ways. 

Charles Dickes’ 200th Birthday was on February 7, 2012.  We have a small display in tribute for the Dickens fans.

Dr. Seuss’s birthday is upcoming on March 2nd.  We will have a fun and celabretory display of books and fun facts about the man and his books.

New books (and some DVD’s) are always coming in for all age groups.  Be the first to check them out!

New Materials in the Library

Come see what’s new in Adult fiction, non-fiction, and DVD’s;  Juvenile fiction and non-fiction; and Children’s books!

New Preschool Storytimes:

First Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. AND a Brand-New Bedtime Story time on the Third Tuesday of each month at 6:45 p.m.

 The next story time is Tuesday, February 21 at 6:45 pm.  Our theme is “Bath Time” with stories and a take-home craft.  Children aged 3 – 8 will enjoy the stories and crafts.

Wednesday, March 7th at 10:30 am pre-school story time will be about “Animals”.
