Thursday, Feb. 23rd, Sarah Peters is teaching basic crochet stitches. A second class will be on Tuesday, Feb. 28th, also at 7:00. Bring a #5 hook and medium yarn. For ages 12 – adult. Register ahead at 945-2221 and leave your name and phone number. We need to know how many are coming.

The Waldheim Housing Authority Board is pleased to announce that Andrea Hildebrand has accepted the position of Housing Authority Manager. The Board looks forward to working with Andrea to provide management of a portfolio of low-cost housing for seniors and families in our community.

Lights and Sirens

Waldheim Fire & Rescue is asking the public for their co-operation in responding to emergencies. The calls that are being responded too may be of serious nature and we are asking for the following:

If there are lights and/or sirens, this means that we are asking for the right of way. Please pull off to the side of the road or come to a stop to allow us to pass by.
If there are barricades, pilons or emergency vehicles blocking the roadways, please do not cross by vehicle or by foot. They are there for your safety as well as the safety of those emergency personnel working behind the scenes. If you have a question or concern, please be patient and an emergency personnel will be able to assist you when the scene has been stabilized. Please be advised that the WFR has the lawful authority to have the RCMP remove any unauthorized person from an emergency scene.
As it is human nature to be inquisitive, we ask for your respect with regards to people’s privacy. Our members are bound by privacy agreements and will not share personal information about any incident they respond to. Please be courteous and withhold questions that they are not permitted to answer.
