The Waldheim Fire And Rescue serves approximately 1000 residents from the centrally located Fire Hall. The Fire Department has very dedicated volunteer firefighters who serve the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Our Firefighters are always busy answering emergency calls, training to protect their residents, and participating in community events.
Our Department has a fleet which consists of:
- A 1978 GMC pumper truck – outfitted for Wildland / Grass fire fighting with 1000 gallon (IMP) water capacity.
- A 1990 Spartan Rescue/Pumper – 500 US Gallon water capacity, outfitted for vehicle extrication, vehicle fires, & Rescue, including jaws of life, 2 SCBA, & STARS landing kit, also outfitted for structural firefighting
- A 1992 Spartan Pumper with 1000 U.S. Gallon water capacity. Primarily used for structure fires. Fully equipped with 4 SCBA, gas meter for CO calls and all necessary tools for structure fires.
- The First Responder unit is a 2003 Ford E350, former ambulance, donated by MD Ambulance in Saskatoon. It is fully equipped for pre ambulance care.
